Travelling Spain-Top Destinations to Visit

If you are planning for a leisure vacation in the near future then Spain should definitely be in your top priority list. The country has an awesome climate that makes it favourite for travellers. Spain has some of the world class beaches and stunning coastline that attracts thousands of beach lovers every year.  Some of the most visited destinations in Spain include, the Canary Islands, Galicia, Costa del Sol,  and Benidorm to name a few.

The Canary Islands

Situated in the west of Morocco, the Canary Island welcomes 9 million travellers every year, who remain fascinated by its excellent climate and mesmerizing landscapes. The island is a combination of 7 large islands.

Galicia

Also known as the land of the 1000 rivers, Galcia has everything to offer to its visitors. Population in the region is quite scattered and most inhabitants can be found in the coastal regions. If you are in Galicia then you must visit the Catedral de Santiago in Santiago de Compostela, which is a long pilgrimage path that starts from France. Apart from scenic beauty, you can enjoy some delicious seafood.

Costa del Sol

World famous for its top golf courses, Costa del Sol has become increasingly popular in the last 20 years. If you happen to be in the area then you must once visit Torremolinos, which is a famous destination known for its 9 km long beaches. You can enjoy lots of water sports in the area.

Benidorm

Those travelling with family must visit Benidorm, which has earned its repute as the top family holiday hotspot.  The place has become popular due to its happening nightlife which attracts tourist from all nearby and far destinations. Several regional beaches & water parks make the area a perfect summer getaway for tourists.

Apart from these four destinations, Spain has several other important tourist spots such as Menorca, Mahon, Ibiza, Barcelona, Jimena etc. These spots are popular tourist hubs attracting visitors from every corner of the globe
